apart the fabric; this is designated by the measure
of resistance to a testing machine (in pounds) that
a fabric provides before the material breaks. The test
strip width depends on the type of fabric.

The ratio of the average

flow path length (thickness) of a filter medium.
TOTAL DISSOLVED SOLIDS:
Is the portion of the total
solids in the sample that passes through the filter
and is indicated by the increase in weight in the vessel
after the filtrate has been dried at 180ºC.

The number of times the
